Loparex GZ announced its opening on Nov. 19, 2004
(November 19, 2004 )Loparex (Guangzhou) Paper Products Ltd. held its opening ceremony on Nov. 19, 2004, symbolizing the launch of UPM to the Peal River Delta.



The facility which located in Guangzhou Economic & Technology Development District initially houses a solvent free thermal silicone coater, two slitters and a printing line and will supply direct coated glassine, super calendar crafts and films to Southeast Asian markets. The first investment is 8 million US dollar and the long-term plan is to develop this facility into the converting paper production base for Asian market. As the establishment of new lines, Loparex GZ will become a bright star of the UPM group.

The honesty Minister of Foreign Trade of Finland Madam Paula Lehtomaki presented the ceremony and brought her investment investigation team which is made of CEOs from Finnish magnates to spectate the celebration.
